31 Days of Surrender

My morning devotion before I headed off to work this morning, knowing I would be missing the fellowship of my church family and the worship I love…headed into the challenges at work…

Proverbs 2:2-3: Incline your ear to wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding; yes, if you cry out for discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding.

Surrendering my life, my own will to His will, involves listening. It involves my heart. It involves seeking His discernment and lifting my voice for His understanding, not my own…crying out to Him.

It means being open to His blessings even in less than ideal situations and continuing to serve Him and others. It means surrendering my understanding for His and listening…looking for the lessons in the less than ideal situations and seeking to understand what He wants me to learn. Each day, I am learning that sometimes to surrender means to be still and listen to His voice.
